The Homeopathic Education Society runs Smt. Chandaben Mohanbhai Patel Homeopathic Medical College.
The Late Shri Mangaldas Pakwasa founded The Homeopathic Education Society with the object of establishing a Medical College, Hospital and Charitable Dispensaries, which would pave the way for the spread of scientific Homeopathic practice and research.
The Institution that came into being in 1957, in a rented premises at Sion, Bombay, took a giant leap forward in 1960, by acquiring about 17000 sq yards of land in Vile Parle west, Bombay and building over a period of time, the Homeopathic complex, accommodating the Smt. Chandaben Mohanbhai Patel Homeopathic Medical College, Shree Mumbadevi Homeopathic Hospital and Dr. A. D. Edal Behram Girls Hostel.
Initially stage, the College prepared students for L.C.E.H. course.
In 1983, it became affiliated to University of Bombay [now Mumbai], when it introduced the B.H.M.S. Degree course having a duration of 5-1/2 years.
